As recently announced by the government and NHS England on 28/05/2020 –
all UK dental practices have been informed that they can commence opening from Monday 8 June
for face to face care, providing the correct IPC and PPE requirements are in place. At Darwenside Dental we have worked hard to make sure all these requirements are in place and fully intend to reopen our doors from Monday 8th June, by appointment only!
We would like to politely inform all of our patients that we will be in contact regarding any routine dentistry or appointments, but until then we would ask that you please refrain from contacting our practice number unless you are seeking urgent dental advice. Whilst we have been allowed to reopen, we will be taking careful measures in our progression to offer our regular service, including our full range of routine dental care and cosmetic treatments on offer. The safety and wellbeing of patients and staff is our highest priority so we must continual risk assess our situation to ensure this standard of care.
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION FOR OUR PATIENTS
WE MAY HAVE CLOSED OUR DOORS, BUT WE ARE STILL HERE TO HELP, BOTH ONLINE AND OVER THE PHONE
At Darwenside Dental our patients and staff have always been our number one priority – and rest assured, that will continue. During these uncertain times we will be available to consult with patients over the phone, on email and via our social media channels. We will help you to maintain the best oral health possible from the comfort of your home, and if urgent treatment is needed, we are now able to refer you to one of the urgent care centres that has opened locally.
Urgent Dental Care Centres are able provide emergency dental treatment only to those in need during these unprecedented times. Appointments are only available to patients by referral from their dentist, after receiving advice from their Practice helpline. Practices who are currently providing this service will only see you if you have an appointment. You will not be allowed to enter the building without one.
In preparation for us to re-open, we have been working hard to obtain the required PPE and train our staff, to enable a safe practice environment and set the highest standard of care for our patients and staff.
We look forward to welcoming you back to our practice when the time is right, but in the meantime, please keep visiting this page for the latest information and keeping an eye on our Social media channels for updates.
Our Practice is temporarily closed and routine / cosmetic dentistry unavailable under the guidance of the BDA and Public Health England. However we want to assure you we are still available to offer advice and direction.
We are offering a phone advice service where one of our dentists will be on hand to help.
Our opening times for which are:
Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm
